Our Leadership Team
Our pastor/mission developer (church planter) is Terry Crahen. Terry is a graduate of Syracuse University (B.A. In philosophy), and graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS in 1987 (M.Div.) and returned there in 1994 to pursue studies in systematic theology. He has pastored churches in Alabama, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Idaho. He and sweetheart Mary have been married for 30 years, and have two adult children, Emily and Patrick.
The Crahens returned to North Carolina from Boise, Idaho convinced that God was leading them to establish a new church somewhere in greater Greensboro. Terry is a bi¬vocational pastor, as Faith Chapel is not dependent on other churches or a denomination for support. The Crahens enjoy old movies, reading a good book together, family camping trips (but not recently), and living out in the country.
As a mission church, a church plant, Faith Chapel does not yet have its own “in-house” elders. Our other elder, Charlie Liebert is “borrowed” from Covenant Fellowship, a sister ARP congregation. Charlie is a retired chemist, but he is anything but retired. As a scientist Charlie has long had a burden to teach the scientific side of what Scripture says about creation, and has his own website for educating about those things at: http://www.sixdaycreation.com/cms/.
He has done seminars for home schoolers and churches for years. Charlie has also done tax work for many years for H & R Block and other such firms, and at present teaches business at Davidson Community College. We are grateful for his willingness to be a part of our leadership until the Lord gives us elders from within.
